A California-based company announced today plans to open a $40 million state-of-the-art meat processing facility in Opelika.
The Golden State Foods Corp. facility set to open in the Northeast Opelika Industrial Park will create 173 jobs, Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller and other officials announced.
"We are thrilled to welcome Golden State Foods to Opelika," Fuller stated. "They will make a great addition to our diverse manufacturing community."
