Giant Landover Names New President

We now know who will take over the reins at Giant Landover, the grocery store chain owned by Dutch food retailer Ahold.

Ahold USA has appointed Gordon Reid president of the Giant Landover division, which operates 169 supermarkets in the District, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. Reid replaces Anthony Hucker, who resigned in September to join St. Louis-based Schnuck Markets.

Reid most recently served as director for commercial services at Dairy Farm International, a food, health, beauty and home furnishings retailer with thousands of locations throughout Asia.
