In the world of online shopping, groceries are the last frontier.
And with the help of parent company Kroger, Fred Meyer is joining the increasing number of retailers fighting for a piece of the new world.
Fred Meyer recently debuted its program at its Burlingame location, and plans to add the option to five other Portland-area stores this year:

Gresham – October 12

Hollywood – October 19

Hillsboro – November 2

Orchards (Vancouver) – November 16

Gateway – To be decided
Next year, the Northwest retailer hopes to add the program to dozens of other stores in the region. (See what we found when we tested the program here.)
