Walk-in coolers, a dedicated gluten-free section: Those are just some of the features coming to Triangle-area Food Lion stores this year, as the Salisbury-based grocery chain revamps its local stores.
"It will be completely remodeled," says spokeswoman Christy Phillips-Brown, who says designers focused on shopping "like the customer would shop."
And that means realigning products and expanding areas particularly popular among Triangle customers, such as the K-cup section – where shoppers go for those individual-serve coffee cups. New products, too, will be on store shelves, such as a new line of deli meats and cheeses and various grab-and-go items.
