Roundy’s Supermarkets on Tuesday opened its first Mariano’s Fresh Market grocery store in Chicago, at 3350 N. Western Ave., the Milwaukee-based retailer’s third Mariano’s in the Chicago area and one of 20 it plans to open within the next five years.
Each store employs about 450.
A second store in Chicago, at 333 E. Benton Place in Lakeshore East, is slated to open in September at a date yet to be determined, a company spokeswoman.
