CENTERVILLE — Earth Fare will permanently close its specialty grocery store in the Cross Pointe Shopping Center on Jan. 31, company officials said late Monday.
“As Earth Fare continues to execute a new strategy, including accelerating the growth of our store base, we reviewed our existing store portfolio and determined that the closing of our Dayton location will help to position the company for continued expansion,” Earth Fare spokesman Mark Malinowski told this news outlet via email. “Unfortunately, the store’s challenged physical location has proven too much to overcome.”
Signs announcing the Jan. 31 closure are posted on the store’s entrance and at checkouts, urging customers to use loyalty points before the end of the month and concluding with, “… We hope to have the opportunity to serve you at another of our stores in the future.”
