Publix Super Markets has named Lakeland's Casey Suarez as the company's next vice president of distribution. Suarez began his Publix career in 1978 as a part-time produce clerk in Miami. He relocated to Lakeland in 2011 to become Publix's director of warehousing. Suarez will replace Richard Schuler, who will retire May 2 after 40 years with Publix.
