It's true that even in lean times people have to eat, but Port City shoppers are finding themselves in the middle of a feast of choices.
Homegrown supermarket Carolina Farmin' is planning to open another store this year, with the possibility of further expansion beyond that.
"We are looking at a couple of different opportunities, venue-wise" in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender and Onslow counties, said owner Wayne Long.
That expansion would add to a sort of rolling supermarket boom in the Wilmington area.
