CINNAMINSON — Bottom Dollar Food, the lean, no-frills grocer, will open six additional stores in South Jersey in less than two years, starting with a store in the Mainline Shopping Center on Route 130 that will debut Friday.
The Salisbury, N.C.-based retailer says the expansion is in response to the region’s appetite for bargain shopping. Bottom Dollar’s recipe for success starts with deep discounts on items that commonly appear on grocery lists, such as milk, bread and bananas.
This week, specials include chicken leg quarters for 47 cents a pound, 5-ounce cans of the house-brand tuna for 55 cents and a six-pack of Nestle bottled water for 50 cents.
