Bob Evans Farms Inc.’s restaurants in the Dayton area will be undergoing major renovations as the city becomes the test market for a company-wide remodeling effort.
The Columbus-based chain said it plans to modernize its 30 Dayton stores for its Farm-Fresh Refresh project, an initiative to create a cohesive and updated look throughout the chain. The remodeled restaurants will feature a brighter color scheme, a new bakery, a carry-out area, a redesigned retail area with a Bob Evans (NASDAQ:BOBE) mural and modernized dining room.
Dayton was chosen as the test market for the remodeling effort based on the area’s demographics and the different styles of Bob Evans restaurants in the market.
“As Bob Evans locations emerged over the years, a variety of structures and designs were built,” President Randy Hicks said in a release. “The Dayton market is made up of several of these designs and layouts, giving us both an opportunity and a challenge to refresh them and give them a cohesive look and feel.”
