DALLAS – Avocados From Mexico (AFM), the top-selling avocado in the United States, announced its first national partnership with On the Border Mexican Grill to celebrate the best of summer – chips and guacamole, live music and patios – with its Rock the Border Summer Music Series. From June 27 through July 31, guests will enjoy a specially priced guacamole appetizer, made with Avocados From Mexico, for just $2.50. Additionally, popular bands will play every Friday at select On The Border patios, and performances will be live streamed to all On The Border restaurants and patios in over 140 locations nationwide for guests to enjoy.
“While Avocados From Mexico are available year round, we’re excited to celebrate summer by launching this first-time partnership with On the Border,” said Alvaro Luque, president of Avocados From Mexico. “Fresh guacamole made with always-in-season Avocados From Mexico and live music at one of the country’s most popular Tex-Mex restaurants is the perfect way for our brands to unite and engage fans in a fun, meaningful way.”
On the Border and Avocados From Mexico will feature ten live bands at the following locations:
- Friday, July 1, in Addison, Texas: Charley Crockett and Rise & Shine
- Friday, July 8, in Mission Valley, California: Rooney and Dig the Kid
- Friday, July 15, in Bedford, Texas: Scott Biram and The Rocketboys
- Friday, July 22, in Princeton, New Jersey: Dreamers and Computer Magic
- Friday, July 29, in Naperville, Illinois: Firekid and The Symposium
In partnership with Slacker Radio, a streaming online radio service, a Rock the Border playlist featuring the bands and other similar artists will be available on the Rock the Border website. Fans can help curate the playlist by tweeting their song and artist suggestions to @AvosFromMexico using #RockTheBorder.
Additionally, throughout the promotion, On the Border will be serving Estrella Jalisco, a new beer imported from Mexico, at select locations.
