Struggling in an increasingly competitive marketplace, Marsh Supermarkets this week announced plans to close 10 stores, including four in Indianapolis.
"We are closing the stores due to sustained weak performance," David Palmer, senior vice president of sales, marketing and advertising, said in a statement. "This is a very difficult decision for us as we have been serving these communities for many years and have many great relationships with our valued customers."
When the 10 stores close next month, Marsh will continue to operate 53 supermarkets.
