RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Polymer Logistics was recognized by Walmart at its U.S. YBM (Year Beginning Meeting) as an innovative partner for its wood grain reusable plastic containers (RPCs) that bring a clean and consistent look inspired by farmer markets to stores. Walmart also recognized Calavo Growers, a leading avocado grower, for being among the first wave users of Polymer’s wood grain RPCs.
“The team at Polymer is honored to share this recognition by Walmart with Calavo Growers. We are proud to be part of Walmart’s initiative to build produce departments with the highest quality product in our wood grain RPCs,” said Gideon Feiner, CEO of Polymer Logistics.
Wood grain RPCs from Polymer Logistics are highlighted in the newly redesigned produce departments at Walmart stores across the United States. The retailer is converting most of its U.S. stores this year to look like traditional country farmers markets, complete with relevant merchandising.
The ongoing deployment of wood grain RPCs is providing a uniform merchandising look at Walmart stores. The rollout of wood grain RPCs has been a core focus for Polymer since trials at several retail locations in early 2015 and dozens of produce growers have joined the Polymer program since the beginning of 2016.
