Ta-De Hires Program Development Pro

Nogales, AZ — Ta-De Produce Distributing has retained a former Loblaw’s business development manager and former USDA inspector to join its Nogales, AZ expansion team in a sales management capacity.

Jesus Clark comes to Ta-De from Fresh Farms, LLC, and previously spent eight years with Loblaw Produce International in product, vendor and business development, working closely with growers and suppliers on annual crop programs. With a B.S. from the University of Phoenix, Clark started his produce career in 2002 as an USDA Inspector in Mexico and Nogales.

“We are excited to have Jesus join our team as we expand both grower and customer relations program during this season.” noted Ta-De President Robert Bennen, Jr. “He brings a wealth of knowledge from both sides: grower and retailer, not to mention the expertise in quality control, and can help us build solid crop programs.” One of the key activities Mr. Clark will handle is procuring exclusive new growers for Ta-De to represent as well as sales activities

In addition to this new position, Ta-De also announced a more focused effort this year on developing socially-responsible programs that help growers and promotes produce consumption overall, including marketing and merchandising campaigns to drive store traffic.

Ta-De Produce is a third-generation, family-run produce distributor founded by Carlos Bennen in the 1950s. The company, named 2015 Pillar of the Industry by the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas, is known for its green beans, and also distributes bells, sweet mini and specialty peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, tomatoes and Asian greens.
