Sun World Appoints Director Of Quality Assurance & Food Safety

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Further demonstrating its commitment to safely and effectively delivering world-class fruit to customers and consumers worldwide, Sun World International, LLC, announced the appointment of Claudio Olave to the position of director of quality assurance and food safety.

Olave will oversee quality standards and inspection protocols for Sun World’s grape, pepper, stonefruit and citrus offerings, and will be responsible for implementing new technologies, processes and packaging materials that enhance product quality and shelf life. Olave will also oversee the Company’s food safety program including the coordination of all third-party audits, compliance with all federal, state, local and customer specific food safety requirements, and consumer-unit and PTI traceability efforts.

Olave has extensive experience in quality assurance. Prior to joining Sun World he served as the United States managing director for the Chilean based Decofrut, where he served for over 14 years in quality assurance related roles.
