REIDSVILLE, Ga. – Shuman Produce is proud to be joined by Atlanta Celebrity Chef Personalities Chef and The Fat Man and Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan at PMA’s Fresh Summit 2011 in Atlanta, Ga.
Chef and The Fat Man will be on hand throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17 to prepare a variety of Produce for Kids Ideal Meals and demonstrate how easy – and flavorful – eating healthy can be. Host Kevin “Fat Man” Jenkins and Executive Chef Fred Genovese are now in their ninth season on Atlanta radio cooking in front of live audiences and sharing reviews of Atlanta area restaurants. The duo has cooked alongside celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse, Alton Brown and Sara Moulton as well as performed in front of crowds at the Taste of Chicago, Mardis Gras in New Orleans and the Bluegrass and BBQ Festival at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
On Sunday, Shuman Produce welcomes Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan to the booth to talk about the importance of a healthy diet and her partnership this year with the Produce for Kids® campaign. She will cook Ideal Meals along with Chef and the Fat Man and be available for meet and greet as well as photos throughout the day. Teresa Scanlan is the youngest winner in 74 years and the first Miss America from Nebraska.
“We are very excited that PMA's Fresh Summit is being held in our home state of Georgia and we have plenty for attendees to see and enjoy at our booth this year,” said John Shuman, President and Director of Sales. “We invite everyone to learn about our year-round marketing programs that make a difference in local communities.”
Shuman Produce will present its newly redesigned consumer bags at the booth, demonstrating the consistent brand image of RealSweet packaging offered all year long. The newly designed pink ribbon packaging created in support of Susan G. Komen for a Cure will also be on display throughout the weekend.
