Check your refrigerator’s vegetable bin for certain packages of kale – it could be contaminated, officials warn.
Although no one has gotten sick, officials are telling consumers to throw away specifically labeled packages of kale, a green leafy vegetable, as a precaution.
The packages that should be discarded are 10-ounce “Cut n’Clean Greens,” from San Miguel Produce Inc. of Oxnard, Calif., with a “use by” date of 11/9/2009 and the lot code of 14398.
