The 2018 Southwest Ag Summit, slated for February 20-23, 2018 includes a line up of programs including educational sessions, field demonstration events, exhibitor show, evening reception and concludes with the sold-out Harvest Dinner on Thursday as well as an Advanced Ag Tour Friday morning. New this year- the Jacob Louis Daily golf tournament will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
Event organizers with the Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association are excited to announce that this year's keynote speaker, Mr. Craig Regelbrugge, will share a "Labor by the Numbers" program. Mr. Regelbrugge is the National Co-Chair for the Ag Coalition for Immigration Reform. His presentation will focus on how our workforce is changing and growers are struggling to get the job done. Absent relief, the agriculture leaders will see long-term changes to the structure of the industry. He will cover trends, implications and the outlook for legislative or other policy reforms.
Other sessions include regulatory updates; integrated pest management; cotton production and management; food safety updates; and much more. SWAG has applied for 15 AZ/CA PCA and CCA CEU's.
