Produce Industry Teams Up With Pro-Athletes For 31st Annual Don Strock Diabetes Classic

For the 31th consecutive year, the local produce industry will team up with football legend Don Strock and other professional athletes at the Don Strock Diabetes Golf Classic, a fundraiser presented by Miami Seaquarium and benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), located at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Chaired by Bruce Fishbein of The Produce Connection and supported largely by his colleagues in the business, the tournament is one of South Florida’s longest running celebrity/amateur charity golf tournaments. The group has raised more than $2.5 million to date for the cure-focused work underway at the DRI.  

In the past, other great athletes of the past and present, such as Dan Marino, Kim Bokamper, Larry Ball, George Mira, Dwight Stephenson, Jeff Dellenbach, Shawn Hill, Kerry Glenn, Terry Kirby, Bernie Kosar, Bob Kuchenberg, Don McNeal, Nat Moore, Tony Nathan, Gino Toretta, Jim Kiick, Joe Rose, Quadtrine Hill, Jim Jensen, plus radio’s Footy, have joined Strock on the course.
