INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Peri & Sons Farms® will continue their partnership with The Produce Mom® for the third year in a row. Peri & Sons passionately grows white, red, yellow, sweet and organic onions year round.
The partnership between Peri & Sons and The Produce Mom will focus on educating consumers about selecting, storing, and serving Peri & Sons’ onions—particularly Sweetie Sweet® onions. Sweetie Sweet onions are sweeter than typical Peruvian onions, are hand-harvested to reduce nicks and bruises, and use third-party, science-based testing to ensure true sweetness. They are available mid-July through December.
The partnership will also focus on increasing consumer awareness of Peri & Sons’ ‘Eat Brighter!’ products. Peri & Sons has embraced this national movement which uses Sesame Street® branded packaging to encourage children to eat more fresh produce. The Produce Mom’s audience is primarily made up of women, many of whom are mothers interested in finding new ways to encourage their children to eat healthier.
“This is our third year working with The Produce Mom to promote healthy eating habits, and as part of that, to promote our fresh onions. Lori’s vision is right in line with our belief that healthier eating will lead to a healthier world,” states Jessica Peri, Retail Sales Manager, Peri & Sons Farms.
