CASTROVILLE, Calif. – Ocean Mist Farms is being honored by the Monterey County Business Council for its contribution to agriculture in Monterey County.
Ocean Mist Farms is one of six organizations selected to receive the Economic Vitality Award at the council’s annual awards ceremony, Feb. 4 in Monterey.
The Monterey County Business Council is an alliance of business executives and professionals providing collaborative leadership to help people from business, government, education, and the community work together on countywide issues reflecting a strong commitment to the environment, economic vitality, and quality of life.
“Ocean Mist Farms has been a world-renowned leader in agriculture for decades, placing Monterey County (Castroville) on the international map as the leader in artichoke production, marketing and promotion,” said Mary Ann Leffel, president, Monterey County Business Council. “The value of having a recognized logo worldwide is invaluable to the promotion of agricultural production in our region.”
