Salinas, CA – Ag Against Hunger has received a $20,500 grant from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. This grant will go towards Ag Against Hunger’s general operating expenses.
Ag Against Hunger is a non-profit agency providing fresh donated produce to food banks in the tri-county of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties, then statewide and out-of-state when the fresh produce needs of local food banks are satisfied. Since 1990, area growers and shippers have donated over 164 million pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables to help feed the hungry.
The Monterey Peninsula Foundation enhances the quality of life in Monterey County and surrounding areas through strategic disbursement of charitable funds generated by hosting the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.
