Mastronardi/Sunset Reports Soaring Demand

Kingsville, ON (April 20th ) – After increasing the planted acreage for its ONE SWEET™ tomato by more than 300% over the previous year to meet retailer demand, Mastronardi Produce/SUNSET® has yet again increased its production for Summer 2010.

“The overall response & enthusiasm surrounding ONE SWEET™ has been tremendous, it’s a must have item,” commented Paul Mastronardi, President. Mastronardi’s SUNSET® brand ONE SWEET™ tomato is a cherry tomato with exceptional flavor and sweetness that is like no other. “Kids & parents alike love this tomato, it’s so sweet you would think it was candy. Packed in a dry pint format in a unique & exclusive bowl clamshell, Mastronardi has also been receiving requests from the foodservice industry to provide product in larger bulk formats for restaurants to use in salads and other unique dishes & recipes.
