IMMOKALEE, Fla. – Lipman – North America’s largest open field tomato grower – recently won the 2016 Virginia Clean Water Farm Award in the Grand Basin district. The honor recognizes farmers who implement conservation practices, protect natural resources and preserve water quality.
One Grand Basin winner is selected from each of Virginia’s 10 river drainage basins. Lipman won the Coastal Category for its practices in Accomack and Northampton counties.
