It’s cherry blossom time in this Stemilt Growers orchard in Mattawa, WA. After a record early start date in 2016, the 2017 timing for Washington-grown cherries is looking to be back to normal, with harvest expected to start for Stemilt around June 15th. Stemilt’s cherry season begins in California in early May and should run through the month of August in 2017 with it’s high-elevation orchards in Washington State still a ways off from bloom.
