The Grower-Shipper Association Foundation (Foundation), a public-benefit organization dedicated to providing the public factual and educational information about the agricultural industry, announces its new website at www.growershipperfoundation.org.
The site includes sections dedicated to the Foundation's Ag Knowledge program, a ten-seminar series that takes program fellows on a journey of discovery focused on agriculture in Monterey County with farm tours and hands-on experiences such as "a day with a grower". The site also highlights the Foundation's "A Greater Vision" series and their new "Economic Development of Underserved Growers" program, which is expected to begin accepting applications for its first course members this fall.
The website's unveiling coincides with the establishment of the Foundation's new Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/AgKnowledge and Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/home.php?sk=group_125943044152472&ap=1 accounts.
