BAKERSFIELD, California – Bob Borda has been named Vice President of Marketing for Grimmway Farms.
Borda is responsible for leading the company’s category management, social media, and marketing activities for the Bakersfield, California-based grower-shipper.
According to Grimmway President Jeff Meger, “Bob brings years of experience and knowledge to his new role. He understands the industry, from his childhood on the farm, to his extensive 20 years of produce sales experience. Our goal is to work closely with our customers to further develop and understand our customers’ needs through enhanced category insights and strategies. Bob will lead this focus.”
Prior to joining Grimmway Farms, Borda was the Retail Sales Director for Bolthouse Farms, where he had been for the past 11 years in various sales and management roles. Borda succeeds Phil Gruszka, who resigned in October.
“I am excited about the opportunity to work for such a progressive family-owned and operated company,” said Bob Borda. “We have a great story regarding our success in farming and marketing products all grown and produced by Grimmway Farms. Our best-in-class customer service commitment comes to life through our carrot, citrus, potato, and premium organic offerings (Cal-Organic Farms). We will continue to focus on our customer first approach as we develop and enhance the carrot category through category management insights and social media venues.”
