Global Cold Chain Expo Expanding In 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Global Cold Chain Expo, now in its second year, is pleased to announce it will share a single trade show floor with the International Floriculture Expo and United Fresh’s new FreshTEC and FreshMKT expos in 2017. All four shows will occupy the larger West Hall at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, June 13-15. With all four shows together in one expo hall, attendees can easily navigate the event, visiting over 700 exhibitors spotlighting the latest innovations in fresh foods, produce and floral products; new technologies in harvesting, development and merchandising; and tech solutions to ensure quality control throughout the cold chain from field to table.

“We’re excited to have our cold chain exhibitors sharing a show floor with the Floriculture and United Fresh shows this year,” said Global Cold Chain Alliance President & CEO Corey Rosenbusch. “The co-location allows our exhibitors to connect with buyers and developers of all shows in search of perishable business practice solutions, and for attendees to experience and find innovation throughout the full supply chain, ensuring improved cold chain services and food safety and quality maintenance and accountability.”

“We’re looking forward to the growth of the Global Cold Chain Expo, now in its second year,” said United Fresh President & CEO Tom Stenzel. “Building off of the energy of the inaugural year, I’m enthused by the excitement within the fresh foods community as they understand how the Global Cold Chain Expo can truly help increase efficiency and profitability in their facility operations and distribution.”

In addition to the trade show, the Global Cold Chain Expo will deliver cutting-edge educational programming. On Tuesday, June 13, a dedicated Global Cold Chain Conference will allow attendees to focus on specific business challenges and opportunities in the perishable supply chain. Sessions will be aligned into four tracks – 3PL Operations, Cold Chain Solutions, Engineering and Transportation. The program is designed for operations managers, engineers, plant managers and transportation directors, parties who buy or lease cold chain services including growers and other food producers who own or lease cooling equipment, cold storage or handling facilities, food manufacturers, fresh processors, wholesalers, distributors and retailers who own or lease frozen and/or temperature controlled logistics and facilities and all parties throughout the supply chain who specify refrigerated transportation services from local to global needs.

On June 14 – following the conference – attendees will have access to a jointly hosted Opening General Session to kick off the day prior to the expo hall opening. Attendees will find even more education on the trade show floor as they explore exhibits and other business solutions throughout the trade show.
