Salinas, CA — Growers Express, LLC launched its new organic line—Farm Day Organic—last November, and has seen steady growth with their new premium organic products since its rollout.
Because of the popularity of the unique new Growers Express Cauliflower Crumbles™ item in 2015, an organic version of the versatile and easy-to-use product was added to their line shortly after launch. Jamie Strachan, CEO, Growers Express said, “Retailers and consumers were wanting an organic offering of this product, so we made it a priority to get our Crumbles product into production and available to organic consumers who could enjoy and benefit from the same convenience as the conventional product.”
Strachan continued, “Our farmers are committed to organic produce, and we are committed to continually growing our organic line to meet consumer demand.” “Farm Day Organic is a brand that’s also passionate about community gardens and organic education for all consumers,” he added.
To date, the company has conducted several free local hands-on workshops on sustainable gardening, including such topics as building garden boxes and composting, to irrigation and natural pest control. They’ve worked with several local schools to help build their garden box program with training sessions and by donating top soil, fertilizer, cover crops, compost bins and other gardening tools and materials.
“We also want to spread the word and provide an educational experience not just locally,” said Strachan, “but also to other places we visit.” Continuing, “Last year during PMA in Atlanta, GA we gave a presentation to a group of school kids and local volunteers at the Atlanta Food Bank on Integrated Pest Management in farming.” The interactive presentation had the school kids enthusiastically guessing which bugs were beneficial or “good bugs,” versus which bugs were bad in farming practices.
