Eco Farms Continues Expansion With Addition Of Industry Veteran Gahl Crane As New Sales Director

Temecula, CA – Avocado grower-shipper Eco Farms hired Gahl Crane as Sales Director. While originally incorporated in 1974 as a California avocado and citrus grower-shipper, Eco Farms continues to grow as a fully integrated avocado and citrus handler with avocado programs in California, Mexico, Peru and Chile. Eco Farms, who have packed California fruit in Temecula since the 1970s, continue to expand their international presence. CEO Andy Hamilton stated:

“Gahl, who will report to our co-founder and President Steve Taft, immediately will bring experience, passion, knowledge and leadership. While leveraging our California heritage and assets, we want to continue to expand our global presence. Gahl possesses proven experience and capabilities to help Steve and the sales team continue that critical growth. Gahl will continue strengthening those important relationships with retailers, food-service providers, and growers.”

Eco Farms will expand their bagging and ripening programs to serve retailers and other key customers throughout North America. In addition to packing California avocados and importing conventional avocados, they also grow, pack and ship organic avocados and a full-line of organic citrus. Mr. Crane will also be responsible for driving sales and growing these programs for Eco Farms. Crane, who previously worked as Managing Director of Green Earth Produce and currently serves as a Hass Avocado Board member, stated:

“Eco Farms was a natural choice for me- they are experienced, well-respected, have an excellent understanding of the avocado business and most importantly have a very reliable and ever-expanding grower base- much of it their own production. These are important tools to grow and expand as a shipper within the avocado industry, which is seeing unprecedented growth.
