In this month-long promotion, consumers have the opportunity to win Del Monte® banana costumes, download coupons and join live Halloween celebrations in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX and Coral Gables, FL. The promotion encourages everyone to have a fun-filled and healthy Halloween by eating fruit alongside traditional Halloween treats.
Throughout October, our social media campaign will be inviting people to share their healthy Halloween tips and tricks for a chance to win Del Monte® banana costumes. The campaign features humorous videos of banana-fans getting ready to celebrate, posts encouraging health and wellness, and invitations to join the live celebrations either in person or on Instagram.
“Our annual Go Bananas! Campaign attracts hundreds of thousands of entries,” said Dennis Christou, Vice President of Marketing at Del Monte. “By leveraging the popular Halloween holiday, we can help more consumers to include fruit, especially bananas, as a healthy treat.”
Live healthy Halloween celebrations will take place in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX and Coral Gables, FL on Saturday, October 27th. Brand ambassadors dressed in banana costumes will host fun-filled fitness sessions, while attendees will also enjoy music as well product and costume giveaways. Social media livestreams will take place in all three locations sharing the fun with those unable to attend in person.
The month-long long Halloween promotion takes place from October 1st to October 31st and is part of Del Monte’s goal of promoting health and wellbeing through wholesome, nutritious products.
