Dan Edmeier of Kingdom Fresh Wins Mexican Exporter Of The Year Award

McAllen, TX – Dan Edmeier, director of sales for Mexican hydroponic grower, Kingdom Fresh, based in Donna, TX, was the recipient of the 2013 Mexican Produce Exporter of the Year award, presented March 6, 2013, at the recent America Trades Produce (ATP) conference in McAllen, TX.

Presented by Ken Whitacre, publisher and editorial director of PRODUCE BUSINESS magazine, the award recognized Edmeier's accomplishments in furthering trade between Mexico and the United States and Canada.

His leadership and his company’s rapid success — rising from only a concept seven years ago to a company handling more than 3 million packages of tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant and cucumbers — were recognized by members of the Nogales, AZ-based Fresh Produce Association of the Americas and Mission, TX-based Texas International Produce Association, joint organizers of the ATP conference.

Edmeier's recognition was given on the first day of the conference, which hosted Mexican produce importers, exporters, service suppliers, buyers and others allied to the trade.
