CASHMERE, Wash. — Crunch Pak, the industry leader in fresh sliced apples, is celebrating summer with a photo contest promoted on the company’s Facebook page.
The contest invites people to take photos of themselves or their friends and family enjoying Crunch Pak products in a favorite locations outdoors.
The photos are posted on Crunch Pak’s Facebook wall, and winners are chosen by the number of people who “like” a photo each month. At the end of each month (beginning July 15) Crunch Pak will award $50 VISA gift cards to the six photos with top votes.
The goal of the contest is to increase the number of Facebook friends Crunch Pak has, said Tony Freytag, director of national marketing, Crunch Pak. The company is currently placing more than 300,000 stickers on all 14-ounce bags of sliced apples with the company’s Facebook address.
“We are continually looking for new and interesting ways to engage with people who buy our products,” Frey tag said. “This summer we thought a photo contest would be a tasty deal.”
The summer photo contest is the first in a series of Facebook promotions planned for the year, including a back to school contest. In addition, Crunch Pak will begin adding 10 to 12 different QR (quick response) codes to packages with different messages, the first being details about the summer photo contest on Facebook.
