CASHMERE, Wash. — Crunch Pak, the industry leader in fresh sliced apples, is now a national strategic partner of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Nutrition Communicator's Network. As a partner, Crunch Pak will conduct promotional activities in support of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and MyPlate messages beginning with "Make Half Your Plate Fruits and Vegetables."
To kick-off its partnership efforts, Crunch Pak is featuring MyPlate illustrations and Dietary Guidelines for Americans messaging on all of its digital communication tools including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the company website. The company will also add the MyPlate logo to packages of sliced apples.
"We have been long-time supporters of the USDA and now we look forward to helping them communicate messages to our consumers that promote healthy eating," said Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "Crunch Pak’s family of products is ideal for how Americans eat today – portable and convenient – we make achieving half your plate with fruits and vegetables easy and that’s a great story to tell."
Crunch Pak will be sharing MyPlate messaging with magazine writers and editors at a conference in February focused on health and nutrition news.
