Coastline Celebrates Completion Of Solar Power Installation

SALINAS, Calif. – Coastline is pleased to announce completion of its Solar Power initiative at their corporate office located in Salinas, CA. The installation became operational in October 2013. Along with our solar power installation we have used LEED approved materials in our construction of our new building.

The system is expected to reduce approximately 938 tons of CO2 emission over 25 years. Comparable CO2 reductions are: small car: 3,181,017 miles, medium car: 1,706,182 miles, SUV: 1,195,414 miles, air miles: 1,934,845 miles, trees planted: 37,536 trees planted and CO2 from trash & waste: 1706 persons.

“Coastline is excited by this project because it is one of our most visible sustainability projects to date. And I’m proud to say that our commitment to the environment goes back many, many years,” said Steve Henderson, President.  “These solar panels provide renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gases within the community and provide Coastline with energy cost savings — the classic win-win.  We are an agriculturally-based business and are mindful of the environment and take measures to preserve and protect those resources.”
