Wenatchee, Washington – CMI (Columbia Marketing International) one of Washington State’s largest shippers of premium conventional and organic apples, pears and cherries, has hired Mike Nicholson to the Domestic Sales Team.
Nicholson has accumulated a wide range of sales experience representing Washington shippers of fresh apples, pears, cherries and apricots. He has been involved with sales in both export and domestic markets, concentrating for the past several years on the domestic retail and wholesale trade. He and his wife Danielle have two adult children and a couple of young grandsons.
“Mike has a well-balanced background of working with both growers and retailers to create a win-win situation in which both parties are obtaining profitable results. We look for Mike to drive programs forward and to continually improve the service we provide to the retail community. We are very pleased to have him on board and look forward to him being a valuable member of our team,” said Steve Castleman, CMI Domestic Sales Manager.
Mike stated, “CMI is a great company to join. They have a strong product mix and a great management team which understands today’s market while anticipating tomorrow’s. In addition, CMI is proud to announce the addition of Joel Hewitt to the CMI Domestic Sales Team. Joel graduated with honors from Wenatchee High School and is a recent graduate from Washington State University with a degree in Economics. He and his wife Ashley reside in Wenatchee. We are excited about the potential Joel brings to CMI and are looking forward to working with him to be a great asset to CMI for years to come. He will begin his training program in January, said Steve Castleman.
