Clifford Produce Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

RUTHVEN, ON, September 30, 2010 — Clifford Produce, the Ontario-based supplier of greenhouse produce, today announced a retailer-focused matching campaign designed to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month during the month of October. For every case of specially-marked Clifford Produce sold, the company will match retailer donations of up to $1 per case.

“Almost all of us have been affected in some way by breast cancer, whether it be personally or through a loved one,” said Mike Glass, sales manager for Clifford Produce. “There are so many exciting advancements being made in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. We, at Clifford Produce, are glad to be able to support this cause and to work with retailers to make an even greater impact than we, as a single company, could make. We hope to raise $50,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through this campaign.”

During the month of October, Clifford’s packaging is specially marked with a pink ribbon to make consumers aware of the fact that their purchases have the potential to benefit breast cancer research, treatment and prevention. The campaign slogan, “Clifford Produce. Every package makes a difference,” is also included on the packaging, as well as in materials that Clifford is using to reach out to retailers.

“We hope that our retailers will get on board with this fundraiser. It’s a great cause and a great opportunity for us all to work together in the hope of finding a cure for breast cancer,” said Glass.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is one of America’s most recognized and highly respected breast cancer charities. Information about the National Breast Cancer Foundation is available at www.nationalbreastcancer.org.
