Burlington Avocado Distributor Gets Paid For Electrical Capital Upgrade

A local company has put plenty of energy, and money, into its systems of energy consumption and come away with significant short-term, and promised long-term, savings.

In a ceremony on Wednesday (Jan. 21), two Burlington Hydro Inc. officials, President and CEO Gerry Smallegange and Vice-President of Regulatory Compliance and Asset Management Joe Saunders, presented Burlington business Mission Produce with an incentive check for $71,400.

The payment is part of the saveONenergy Process and Systems Upgrade Initiatives Program (PSUI), a Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) program tailored for business and delivered by Burlington Hydro.
