Braga Partners With Moxxy Marketing For Retail Brands & Sales Business

The Braga team asked Moxxy to create a brand for the retail sales company that would position them in the top-tier of the marketplace.  With more than 15 years of expanding their certified organic program and leading the industry in food safety, Braga has been the best kept secret in fresh vegetable production, and Moxxy was ready to help them tell their story and bring their expertise and tradition of integrity to the retail market.

Moxxy presented a range of names, and ultimately recommended Braga Fresh Family Farms, which the Braga family agreed was the best option to leverage their reputable name, emphasize the fresh nature of their product line, and reinforce that they’re a fully vertically-integrated operation from farming through sales and shipping.

After the name was decided, Moxxy designed the Braga Fresh Family Farms logo, website (bragafresh.com),  mini-brochure that conveniently fits into your pocket, and full-sized brochure to show the extensive product line.  The website, built using a Content Management System for quick and easy updates, encourages visitors to learn about the history of the Braga family, their food safety and sustainability practices, meet the sales team and view photos of the various commodities sold under each label—Josie’s Organics, Fresh n Healthy, and Golden State Broccoli.

With Moxxy by their side, Braga Fresh launched Josie’s Organics at the 2013 Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Fresh Summit tradeshow October 18-20 in New Orleans.  Quite a buzz was created at PMA and since then distribution growth has been strong.  Josie’s Organics offers more than 20 commodities including sweet baby broccoli, kale, chard, cilantro, parsley, celery and leaf lettuce.  Moxxy designed not only the contemporary Josie’s Organics logoinspired by president and CEO Rod Braga’s grandmother, Josie Bragabut also designed packaging for 21products, including resealable bags, wrap bags, twist ties, elastic tags and hang tags.

In addition to Josie’s Organics, Moxxy helped launch two additional Braga labels:  Golden State Broccoli and Fresh n Healthy. Braga Fresh distributes Golden State Broccoli throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In approaching naming the brand, Moxxy kept in mind Braga’s desire to exemplify the healthy and iconic California lifestyle which is highlighted in the name and eye-catching, classically California-inspired logo. Moxxy designed the Fresh n Healthy logo to exemplify a natural, fresh-from-the-farm feeling.  The Fresh n Healthy line features a selection of herbs, broccoli and kale distributed domestically and internationally.
