Monterey, CA – PMA Foodservice 2018 was home to several exciting innovations in the fresh produce category. This of course includes the next BIG thing in specialty vegetables: The Babé Farms Large Purple Ninja Radish.
The Santa Maria grower debuted this new take on its signature Baby Purple Ninja Radish at PMA and highlighted a few key points on what makes the large size so great.
“It has the same spicy kick and dark/light purple color combo, but the larger, cylindrical shape allows for more uniform slices and more slices per radish,” said Ande Manos, Marketing and Business Development Manager.
This wasn’t the only radish introduced by Babé Farms. They made it 2 for 2 by revealing a brand new variety: The French Violet Radish. With its deep purple color transitioning to a white tip, it’s aesthetic is comparable to the classic French Breakfast Radish – a staple item for Babé.
Both radishes were well received at the event and Babé Farms plans to increase production in the near future.
