La Canada Flintridge, Calif., January 25, 2010 — The Allen Lund Company volunteered with the San Diego River Park Foundation during the company’s annual Managers’ Meeting in early January. During the company’s weeklong conference, managers and senior level executives filled two dumpsters with trash and large items from the Mission Valley Preserve portion of the river; most of the items and trash collected were from abandoned homeless sites. Considered one of the most polluted rivers in the United States, the foundation has collected over one-million pounds of trash since 2004.
The Allen Lund Company approaches community service and volunteerism with the same entrepreneurial spirit the company was built on, “we believe we can make a difference, locally, nationally, and globally,” said Allen Lund, president and CEO.
