SAN ANGELO, Texas — Almost since its inception, the Beef Quality Assurance program has guaranteed a safe, wholesome and healthy product for consumers. The program raises consumer confidence through offering proper management techniques and a commitment to quality within every segment of the beef industry.
“Our main goal as cattle raisers is to produce beef that a restaurant would be proud to serve, the consumer at the meat counter will want to purchase and prepare and dinner guests will brag on,” said Ed Trotter of San Angelo.
Trotter and Carter Behrens, West Texas representatives for Fort Worth-based Superior Livestock Auction, hosted a gathering of about 40 area ranchers at Angelo Pellets Inc. in San Angelo Tuesday evening to further confirm the importance of a good management BQA program in a cow herd.
