Tamberlane Farms on Route 364 in Gorham was awarded 2014 Beef Promoter of the Year by the New York Beef Producers Association . The award was presented to Tamberlane owners Jake and Anne Martin and family at the annual New York Beef Producers Association meeting in Syracuse in January.
Tamberlane Farms joined New York Beef Cattlemen (later called New York Beef Producers Association) in 1982. Since then the farm has received a number of industry accolades and served in numerous leadership roles.
Those included being named New York Cattleman of the Year in 1991; president of NY Beef Cattlemen in 1995 and 1996; and director of the Northeastern U.S. region of the American International Charolais Association, 2004-2010. (The American-International Charolais Association is the official registry of Charolais and Charbray cattle in the United States).
