Provimi Foods Inc. will eliminate 50 jobs as it shuts down its kill floor and other operations at its meat-packaging plant in Seymour, near Green Bay, the company has told state officials.
The firm cited a downturn in customer demand. It will keep some operations at Seymour, and said it will offer jobs elsewhere to "a very limited number of the affected employees."
The 50 workers whose jobs are being cut will be officially employed through Aug. 31, but were placed on paid leave on Monday.
