DES MOINES, Iowa — The National Pork Producers (NPPC) are now intervening in a lawsuit over its sale of the trademark "Pork, the other white meat."
The U.S. District Court in Washington D.C. granted the motion for NPPC to join the suit brought up by the Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS) against the USDA.
In 2006, NPPC sold the trademark to the Pork Board for $35 million.
