Pilgrim’s Pride To Close Offices, Cut 213 Jobs

The company, which emerged from bankruptcy in December, said it expects to close it headquarters and a satellite corporate office in Atlanta within 60 days.

During bankruptcy, the company had closed and sold plants, reduced production, laid off workers and sold a majority stake to JBS SA.

Pilgrim's Pride said the closures will not impact its processing facilities or operations, as none of the jobs being eliminated are production related.
