National Beef has announced the sale of its Brawley beef processing plant to One World Beef, which is based in Buena Park. The sale is expected to lead to the plant's opening in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to a joint press release from both companies.
Details of the transaction were not disclosed, and the deal remains to be completed, the press release stated.
One World Beef is owned by Eric Brandt, managing partner in Brandt Beef. One World Beef is an independently owned export marketing and sales agency for Brandt Beef of Brawley and Harris Ranch Beef of Fontana, both independently owned family companies. Brandt Company is also independently owned and operated and separate from this anticipated operation.
