The newest Mariano’s grocery store, set to open on Tuesday, will be the growing chain’s first location to sell game meats such as bison, boar, pheasant and rabbit.
The store at 2021 West Chicago Ave. is the fourth converted Dominick’s location that Mariano’s is opening this year.
Mariano’s executives said that they decided to sell game at the store given the Ukrainian Village neighborhood’s eclectic clientele and culinary culture.
