Kent Quality Foods To Hire 140 New Workers, Invest $35M

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Kent Quality Foods, Inc., a third-generation family business that processes franks, sausages and specialty meats and distributes them throughout the U.S., is expanding to a new facility near Hudsonville.

The 49-year-old Grand Rapids firm announced on Wednesday, May 11, that it will invest nearly $35 million and create 140 new jobs at a new facility it will build along Quincy Street west of 32nd Avenue in Jamestown Charter Township.

Company president Steve Soet said they have run out of room to expand at their current processing facility, which takes up most of a city block at 703 Leonard Street NW.
