Johnsonville Breaks Ground On Expansion, New Product Line

Johnsonville Sausage broke ground Dec. 4th on an expansion project at its rural Sheboygan Falls headquarters that’s expected to create about 35 jobs and lead to an entirely new product line at the company.

The 40,000-square-foot addition will connect to one of the company’s existing food processing plants and produce products for domestic and international retailers and food service customers.

Company officials didn’t offer specific details on the new product line, though they referred to it as a “big bet” on Johnsonville’s future and indicated that the facility would use new technology to produce food items that will play a key role in the company’s growth.
